The OEC Workforce Unit oversees the statewide professional development, program improvement and the Connecticut Early Childhood Professional Registry system for early care and education. The Workforce Unit offers a variety of supports to assist both individuals and programs in obtaining quality standards.
Members of the Registry www.ccacregistry.org have the opportunity to access many valuable benefits including: a personal account tracking their education and training and advancement on the Career Ladder; Scholarship Assistance for professional development; Technical Assistance Provider support; licensing Head Teacher application; ECTC Application; and Career Counseling in either English or Spanish. In addition, the Accreditation Facilitation Project (AFP) offers a variety of resources and supports to early care and education programs seeking national accreditation. There are also supports for Program Administrators seeking credits to meet licensing, NAEYC’s Designated Program Administrator requirements, and the CT Director’s Credential.
